About Me

I am an experienced health and social care leader, consultant and qualified Mountain Leader with over 40 years’ experience across clinical practice, operational management, governance and executive leadership within both the NHS and independent sector care services.

My background includes executive and non-executive leadership roles, care home ownership and operational management, governance and quality improvement work, organisational reviews, and frontline experience within complex health and social care environments. Alongside senior leadership positions, I have also worked directly with providers navigating operational pressure, regulatory challenge, service improvement and organisational change.

I bring a practical and grounded approach shaped not only by leadership roles, but by direct experience of the realities, pressures and responsibilities involved in leading and operating care services.

My work focuses on helping independent and SME care providers strengthen governance, improve operational systems, develop sustainable ways of working and build practical approaches to quality assurance and leadership.

I also have a strong interest in technology-supported governance and operational systems and have developed practical digital solutions to support oversight, compliance, workflow management and organisational governance within care settings.

Alongside consultancy work, I am a qualified Mountain Leader and remain actively involved in outdoor leadership and Duke of Edinburgh expedition work. My interest in leadership, resilience, learning and wellbeing continues to influence both my professional work and personal development approach.
